| original entry | Updates. Sponsors. Are you coming? |
Hi! A quick update on Django on the Med 🏖️ — your favourite Django sprint. 🥳
Important "Are you coming?" question about half-way down.
We updated the site adding new What are we going to achieve? and What does success look like? sections.
We wanted to give you more idea of what we're aiming for, get your brain going, get you excited, but also help you make the case for coming and/or sponsoring the event.
Do go check it out:
Speaking of sponsors, as well as thanks to Buttondown (who provided this newsletter) and the Adjuntament de Palafrugell (for providing the venue) we got our first financial sponsor, in Python España. 💃
We could do with more. If your company could help out, even with a small contribution, please do hit reply.
And the big one. It's time to start firming up attendance.
Django on the Med 🏖️ will be free to attend, but you'll need to register, so we have an idea of numbers.
To begin that, I've set up a simple Google Form. Can you please answer that and say if you're coming:
There's a range of answers.
If you want to group up for accommodation, stay tuned. We'll send out info on that very soon.
The form has a question for if you're interesting in this.
We're about six weeks out. Looking forward to seeing you! 🏖️
