In this talk we will see what the Djangonaut Space program is up close, understand its goal and its innovative strength. Analyzing it from the internal point of view, but also from that of its participants, in the hope of inspiring other people to participate.
📜 Description
The Django community is one of the longest-running in the Python ecosystem, not surprisingly it turns twenty this year, and it has always been a hotbed of innovation within it, both technological (e.g., ASGI), organizational (e.g., Django Fellow) but also diffusion (e.g., Django Girls+).
The Djangonaut Space project fits into this trend, which was conceived and founded two years ago and has already reached its fourth session with navigators and participants from all over the world in a demonstration of incredible capacity for renewal.
I have followed its evolution closely, I have encouraged many people to apply, some of whom have been selected as participant. In the third session, I was the navigator of a fantastic team of four people willing to contribute to Django and get involved.
In this talk we will see together what the Djangonaut Space program really is up close, understand its goal and its innovative strength. Analyzing it from the internal point of view, how to navigate, but also from that of its participants, in the hope of inspiring other people to participate.
